    Sukriti is a Performance Studies scholar from Ambedkar University Delhi and trained with Kaivalya Plays. She is also a theatre actor, poet and freestyle dancer, constantly trying to detangle the blurred lines of her identity and the society through all her works.

Shankar will be doing a special act for Conscious Pause on Emotional Well-being, since, well... laughter is the best medicine!

    During this session we will be discussing the book on consicous parenting called 'The Conscious Parent' by Dr Shefali Tsabary. You can join this session even if you have not read the book and would like to hear or share in the discussion.

    Chief - Diversity and Inclusion, Pernod Ricard, India

    Zainab Patel

    Born in Mumbai, Zainab is a transgender person and is one of the petitioners in the National Legal Services Authority v. Union of India case on transgender rights. She currently works with Pernod Ricard India as the Chief Inclusion and Diversity, prior to this she worked with  KPMG as the Director – Diversity and Inclusion, She holds an MBA in HR and was the National Manager Health and Human Rights at UNDP country office in India and was the regional policy analyst on human rights in Asia. Her areas of interest are health and social development issues and comes with over 20 years of national and international work experience.

    She currently serves as western India representative in the National Council for Transgender Persons and is Kamal Nayan Bajaj Aspen global fellow.

    Yeshasvini Ramaswamy

    Yeshasvini Ramaswamy is a Cultural Transformation & Analytics expert with extensive exposure in leading projects for Fortune 100 across UK, US, Australia, Dubai and China. She has represented India among emerging 25 women leaders in the Fortune Most powerful women partnership program hosted by the US State Dept in 2012 & 2017

    She was awarded The Super Achiever Award by the World Women Leadership Congress Awards in 2017. She has also been featured in Biz Inked a case study publication of IIM Bangalore and CII’s Bold & Brilliant coffee table book on women achievers in 2018. She was awarded the Times Power Women Award (Excellence in Entrepreneurship) in 2019 and was recognized by I-Create for achieving the milestone of creating 4k entrepreneurs and 12k jobs among the disadvantaged women and army veterans in 2020. Yeshasvini is mentioned in the book “Undeterred : The Six Success Habits of Women in Emerging Economies” by Rania Habiby Anderson as a leading Indian Women Entrepreneur. She was awarded the Fellowship by the Institute of Directors in 2021

    • Her initial employment years were with MphasiS and Infosys BPO. She has anchored CHRO roles for the Velankani conglomerate comprising of companies in diverse fields ranging from BPO, Hedge Fund services ,SEZ, Hotels, Tech parks to Food services.
    • A contributing member of the IIITB Innovation Centre, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Govt of India, she has served as the Chief Anchor at the School of Leadership & Entrepreneurial Excellence, that is best known to have launched India’s first entrepreneurial MBA program with committed funding. Now operating under Jain University, within a span of its first 3 years, it catalyzed angel funding through JGI Ventures, incubating 46 start-ups with a combined turn over of more than $ 22mn USD and creation of more than 2k direct jobs within its first 5 years.     Veda Persad

    Veda Persad is the Country Executive for India. In this role, Veda is responsible for resiliency, local statutory compliance, and the local talent strategy to enable business priorities of the organization. Veda brings operational expertise and extensive global experience to the role.
    Since joining Northern Trust in 2004, Veda has held progressive roles within the company including Relationship Manager, Canada Chief Risk Officer, Global Head of Control – Income and International Tax, Division Head for India Entitlements and, most recently, Global Services APAC Operations Practice Executive.

    In her previous role, Veda was responsible for the execution of client Operational delivery. Her teams included Cash and Payment Operations, Banking & Loans, Asset Coding, Entitlements, Trade & Settlement, Asset Pricing and Capital Markets Operations. Veda has been recognized among the Top 100 Executive Allies by LGBT Great and is a passionate advocate for DEI.     Vidya Bala

    Vidya Bala is Co-founder and Head Research & Products at PrimeInvestor, a retail investment research solutions platform. PrimeInvestor is India’s first SEBI-registered personal finance platform that is structurally independent with no commission, no advertisements or kickbacks from products and bats only for the investor. Vidya helped build one of the country’s earliest robo-advisory solutions in the country in her earlier role at FundsIndia. She the head of mutual fund research at FundsIndia where she did some path-breaking work in analyzing funds and offering researched portfolios. Her recommendations had a sound track record of beating markets and showcasing consistency. They were followed widely by investors, advisors and media.

    A Chartered Accountant by qualification, Vidya began her career as a Senior Internal Auditor for Ashok Leyland. She then went on to work for The Hindu Business Line’s Research Bureau, tracking mutual funds, stock markets, sectors and the macro economy for eight years. She has 20 years of experience, of which over 17 were spent analyzing the markets.

    Vaishnavi Viswanathan

    Vaishnavi Viswanathan is a vagabond by heart and loves to explore life to the fullest. She loves to dabble in anything creative, play with dogs, spend time with family and friends, learn new things, watch movies and generally to laze around and have fun, especially in nature. 

    She is an entrepreneur and founder of two firms with 20+years of experience as a Leadership Skills Facilitator, Expressive Art Therapy practitioner, Life Coach, and a Certified Forest Therapy practitioner. She has conducted over 3000+ Leadership training programs in organizations like L & T Infotech, Oracle, ICICI, Seimens etc and has over 600+ coaching hours with a PCC certification. In her workshops and coaching she combines her knowledge and experience from Psychology, Philosophy, Art and Nature to provide a space for others to dive deep within, to discover their authentic self. 

     She founded ‘Nature Connections’ as a conscious calling, with the purpose of connecting people to Earth’s intelligence and wisdom. She has been a pioneer in India in intuitively conducting Nature based coaching and Nature based Leadership sessions for Corporate leaders. Her style is to experientially engage and enable people to connect with nature at a Psychological and Spiritual level with little or no theories or models. This impacts their overall physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being and provides a space to deeply connect with nature and with themselves. Nature connections has facilitated 70+ nature based sessions for over 800 people in 8 cities in India and Mauritius, for corporates like IBM, Capgemini, LinkedIn, FFG Mag, Shenomics etc with a collaborative team of 12 people across India. She was certified by the European Institute of Forest Therapy and adopts their research based framework in conducting nature sessions. She is an International speaker advocating the importance for organisations to engage with nature and expand their consciousness. She also received the GIFEW Global Women Entrepreneur award in 2020 for her work with nature. 

    She is a proponent of Conscious living and explores consciousness in as many aspects of her life. Her recent experiment with conscious pregnancy and birthing led to a pain-free labour and no-push delivery at the age of 40 and is now exploring conscious parenting. She believes connecting with nature has been an important aspect for her to live a conscious life, as close to what nature intended it to be. 

    Improv Trainer and Performer, Kaivalya Plays

    Varoon P. Anand

    Varoon P. Anand is Delhi’s most experienced Improv trainer and performer. In Delhi, Varoon began teaching Improv in 2012 through Kaivalya Plays, the theatre company he founded, and in 2014 formed CueLess Improv, the capital’s most prolific team of short-form improv performers.

    Varoon continued training in improv with many teachers including Saif Ali, of Batlahouse theatre, learning and collaborating from 2015-16. In 2018, in collaboration with the Goethe Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan and medical practitioners, Varoon created Unravel, an improv show about mental health that is in production and will shortly travel on a national tour. Along with being the Artistic Director of Kaivalya Plays, CueLess Improv, and El Clavileo (India’s only Spanish language theatre group). As of 2019, Varoon has trained more than 200 performers in spontaneous improvisation, facilitated workshops for over 500 people in improvisation for mental wellness and collaborated with institutions like Embassy of Spain, Embassy of Argentina, Embassy of Ecuador, Indian Habitat Centre, Little Theatre Group (LTG), Oddbird Theatre and Foundation amongst others. He continues to explore new ways to present and teach the techniques of improv, along with his other specialities.

    Tanuj Bhojwani

    Tanuj Bhojwani is a storyteller who codes. He is the co-author of The Art of Bitfulness: Keeping Calm in the Digital World with Nandan Nilekani.

    Tanuj holds a chemical engineering degree from IIT Bombay. He also attended Ashoka University and studied liberal arts at the Young India Fellowship. His training in the sciences and humanities allows him to craft narratives about technology that are accessible without sacrificing technical depth. As a Fellow at iSPIRT Foundation, Tanuj works on policy issues related to digital identity, payments, data protection and drones. Prior to iSPIRT, Tanuj has been a VC and an entrepreneur. When not reading or writing, Tanuj spends his time obsessing over board games, digital productivity systems and magic. He lives and works in Bengaluru.

    Dr. Radhika Jain

    Dr. Radhika Jain is a theatre practitioner, actor and trainer. She is a graduate from the Centre for Playback Theatre, USA. She is also trained in multiple other formats of interactive theatre like Theatre of the Oppressed, Shadow Theatre and Immersive Theatre. As an Expressive Art practitioner, Radhika combines the elements of Expressive Arts with the tools of Theatre in her sessions with individuals as well groups. She has co-founded First Drop Theatre with a select set of actors who have a common interest in theatre and storytelling.
    Through First Drop Theatre, Radhika and team use a wide range of interactive theatre techniques to create spaces for reflection and embodied thinking to support people with a nuanced understanding of themselves as well as others.

    Swayta Murarka

    Swayta Murarka is an Award winning Investment Banker and a Business Leader. She is known for her visionary leadership and strategic thinking and having set up and led various businesses to success. She is an All India Rank holder Chartered Accountant, with 19 years of experience in Investment Banking, Audit and Retail Banking across large organizations like HSBC, Goldman Sachs, PWC and ICICI Swayta is currently heading the Investment Banking, Portfolio Analytics, Business research, presentations and design and transformation team of over 310 employees spread across Bangalore, Guangzhou, Manila and Colombo. Prior to this, she was Co-Head, Investment Banking and Sector Lead, Financial Institutions for the team in Bangalore. Swayta has rich experience in executing strategic
    disposals for HSBC and M&A transactions for Financial Institutions and General Industrial clients
    globally.

    Swayta’s career story was featured by Global HSBC Production house internally and across all social media sites. Swayta has also been recognized through various industry awards, having most recently won the Women Economic Forum award for “Exceptional Leader of Excellence”, WEF – Iconic Women, All India Women Achievers Award by Business Rankers publication house and the D&I Industry Leader award by Community Business in 2019. Swayta is passionate about equal opportunity and founded the first international branch of the Diversity network ‘Balance’ in HSBC and was subsequently nominated as Global Co-Lead for the network. She helped expand this network to over 30 countries and 50,000 employees. Swayta has been instrumental in driving many D&I programs and has been the key propagator for the “Take Two” returnship program. Swayta is currently creating awareness for mental health aspects in the corporate world.

    Shilpa started her career with Dvara Solutions, designing financial products and wealth management solutions for customers in remote rural India. She is a certified Financial Fitness Coach FFC® and an FPSB™ Investment Planning Specialist. With her passion to see financially confident women around the world, she founded NerdyBird Financial Wellness. Shilpa conducts one-to-one as well as group financial wellness sessions to deepen awareness, action and confidence around money. She has facilitated Financial Wellness Group programs for organizations such as Siemens Healthineers, TIAA India, Lean In India, Skill Factory Africa, IIM Udaipur and AISECT.
    Shilpa is mom to a six-year-old human. She loves birding, trekking, cycling, running, basketball, swimming, and many more ways to remain outdoors!

    Shankar Chugani

    Shankar Chugani, a short kid from a small mountain town, Coonoor, went to a boys’ school where he used to dance as a girl beautifully, not out of choice. Born with a hole in his heart, he used to be easily intimidated although he’s fine now. Just a little intimidated. People from all over the world have called him for help while he was in Tech Support. (He used to perform stand-up for colleagues after the boss leaves. Ssssshh!) He has also worked in a theatre and has been on stage, backstage, an usher and has handled latecomers. (He used to perform stand-up for latecomers before the interval. Ssssshh!) One of the finalists on the first season of Comicstaan, (a reality show for the search for India’s Top Comics), he has performed across the country. (including in a bus)

    He has performed for over 250 corporate shows, amongst other kinds of shows.

    Shanti Maria

    Shanti Maria is a corporate veteran in the Learning & Development space who firmly believes her lived experiences have always informed her choices. She is a lifelong learner who is happy to admit that she’s a work in progress and that life is as much about learning as it is about unlearning.

    One of Shanti’s many guiding principles is creating a positive impact on every person she meets.
